HISTORIA DE LAS MATEMÁTICAS
Las matemáticas es una de las ciencias más antiguas y fue objeto
de estudio de los grandes filósofos que se preocupaban por el progreso de la
humanidad. El desarrollo histórico en el tiempo y el espacio de las matemáticas
es interesante y amplio, hizo que los hombres desarrollaran un gran
conocimiento y al tiempo muchas dudas que los hicieron ampliar sus estudios y
contribuir a los grandes postulados y leyes que rigen esta ciencia en la
actualidad.
El surgimiento de la matemática se atribuye a la búsqueda de
la solución de problemas prácticos, lo que llevo a la construcción de métodos
para resolver problemas complicados. Es así como la historia de las matemáticas
está directamente relacionada con el desarrollo del hombre en la sociedad.
Es indispensable inmiscluirnos y escudriñar el pasado para
lograr reconocer los distintos aportes que hicieron las civilizaciones antiguas
al desarrollo de las matemáticas que conocemos actualmente, esto con la
intención de contextualizar algunos conceptos matemáticos a partir de la
reflexión crítica de la historia que ostentan las matemáticas y su influencia
en el desarrollo de la humanidad.
Mathematics is one of the oldest sciences and was the object of study of
the great philosophers who were concerned with the progress of humanity. The
historical development in time and space of mathematics is interesting and
broad, it made men develop great knowledge and at the same time many doubts
that made them expand their studies and contribute to the great postulates and
laws that govern this science in the present.
The emergence of mathematics is attributed to the search for the solution
of practical problems, which led to the construction of methods to solve
complicated problems. This is how the history of mathematics is directly
related to the development of man in society.
It is essential to include ourselves and scrutinize the past to be able to
recognize the different contributions that ancient civilizations made to the
development of mathematics that we know today, this with the intention of
contextualizing some mathematical concepts from the critical reflection of the
history that mathematics and its influence on the development of humanity.
